  A friend and I had looked forward to patronizing the Diner for some time, regarding it as a potential experience in fine dining. The booking process was easy, with the follow up communication via text to confirm and remind us of our booking being very efficient. We were greeted warmly on arrival but alas that was largely the end of any positive interaction with the staff. Perhaps it was our request for an outside table in preference to the noisy indoors or maybe it was my companion's small hand movement (for which she was quickly reprimanded that there was no need to wave) to attract attention when direct eye contact was lacking, that put the owner offside from the outset.
  The progression of the menu was duly explained by another waiter but we opted for just two mains to share with a side of zucchini. The house made pumpkin gnocchi was ordinary and we dared to ask for seasoning to lift it from the realm of the mundane. Despite other diners having their water glasses refilled, we had to ask for water which was somewhat grudgingly delivered as the waiter cleared our plates. As for another glass of wine that was out of the question or should I say that question was simply not asked.
  Would I go back? Definitely not, having been made to feel like a second class citizen, when surely the essence of a business in hospitality is about being hospitable to diners.

  We had an amazing meal here. Amazing, fresh, quality and delicious food. Wonderful service and catered for our kids. Great wine and beer selection. We sat outside and the tunes from the place next door were great as well. What a gem!

  What a top place to have some amazing food!!!
  We choose The Diner for our dinner with some friends and we couldn't have chosen better.
  
  The food here, is top level!! Every single dish was just amazing, I loved they use local products to create and enhance the flavor of their dishes.
  The service was great as the food, very friendly and welcoming.
  Very nice wine list, music, and atmosphere.
  I think prices are in line with the quality and the experience you get.
  
  You can't miss the focaccia with whipped Ricotta, is so YUM!!
  
  Highly recommended!!! Thank you guys for the amazing experience

  Happened upon The Diner early in our week long stay in Lennox. Came back twice for drinks and tonight (our last night) for dinner. Must say our waiter during the week, Nick, was fabulous. Very engaging and knowledgeable re the menu and wine list. Sat with us and worked the menu for my diabetes requirements. Much appreciated. Fantastic meal, compliments to the chef! Highly recommended for their fresh and local ingredients.

  Such a great night! Excellent service from a knowledgeable waiter who made some excellent suggestions for every course and accompanying wine. We couldn't decide whose dinner was better between the pork belly and the lamb, and then again at dessert between the chocolate mouse and the sorbet. Very generous sized sides. Really can't fault our experience.
