Based in the quaint town of Bangalow, right on the high st, we had heard locals giving it good reviews so we booked the degustation menu without accompanying wine list as one of us would be driving. The owners come with impeccable credentials so we thought the food would be good. This was an understatement. Living in Sydney we have sampled many of the top tier establishments and this place could be placed within the same ranks. Food delicious, presentation perfect, and service not too 'in your face' but attentive. The ambience was nice but without a magnificent view, waterfront, or ultra modern fit out, the interior doesn't match the plate. The next night we dined at Rae's at Wategos which has the location but not a patch on this place in the food ratings.
Note: They do breakfast and lunch, but the upstairs opens at 7pm? For evening dinner which is what this review is based on.
